Winter Getaways with Marianne Wine Farm’s Holiday Specials

The perfectly curated world of many travel bloggers makes jet setting across the country look easy (and cheap), when in reality we know that scrimping, saving and bargain hunting is how many of us secure those much needed sho’t lefts. Winter is one of my favourite times to make a quick trip away from the City and familiarity – mostly to unwind and turn off my alarm clock.

If you are a bargain hunter, looking for a quick getaway in the Cape, you don’t have to look far. Marianne Wine Farm, located on the Stellenbosch Wine Route, about 40 minutes drive from Cape Town, boasts more than just their vineyards and excellent french style wines. The estate also features a 4 -star guest house with a variety of accommodation options.

The Manor House in the background

The Manor House, built in the classic Cape Dutch style that is featured across the Cape, has 5 bedrooms as well as a family apartment. The Manor House is a 5 minute walk from the cellar and tasting room. It boasts a panoramic view of Table Mountain and the surrounding winelands, a kitchen, a swimming-pool, a games room, a chapel and 2 terraces. You have the option of booking the House as a whole or by room.

The Lofts comprise of 4 living spaces which face the estate’s expansive cellar as well as Table Mountain. Named after the prominent wine regions of Paarl and Frankshoek, as well as Kanonkop, and Table Mountain, they each have each their own feeling and style but the comfort and quality of service in each is the same. Each room features high ceilings, an ensuite bathroom and a living-room.

Finally, the villa, named L’Ermitage which is located smack in the middle of the vines, has 7 spacious bedrooms quaintly named after grape cultivars. Viognier, Merlot, Shiraz, Sauvignon, Grenache and Mouvèdre. All unique, luxurious en-suite rooms with a terrace, styled to give a different energy.

From 5 July 2019 to 31 August 2019, Marianne’s accommodation wing is offering a 2 night stay which includes a cellar tour, their unique biltong and wine pairing (SA meets France), a 60 -minute spa treatment, a three course dinner and wine at Floréal Brasserie, the restaurant located on Marianne’s grounds, – all for the splendid price of R5000.

As an ambassador for the Marianne experience, I’m extending a special 40% discount if you book a stay at any of the Marianne accommodation option using my unique code: WINE2.

The 40% discount is valid until 31 August 2019 only. All Stays booked using my code include breakfast, a wine tasting and 15% discount on wine purchases.
